How to make your own chocolate chip cookies

It may not look like a cake, but the most basic and simple cookie is a delicious treat, and its popularity has risen rapidly in recent years.

These cookies, which are so simple they can be baked into cakes and biscuits, are made from flour and sugar, so the recipe is simple to make, but it requires a little more work.

It’s the same for many of the other popular cookies, such as the chocolate chip cookie, which is a spongey cookie with chocolate filling sandwiched between layers of pastry.

Preheat the oven to 200C.


Grease and flour two baking trays.

Place a square of baking paper on one tray.


Fold in the flour and baking powder.

Fold the remaining flour in and place in the second tray.


Place the sponge on the second baking tray.


Place one layer of the chocolate chips onto the first tray.


Fold one layer into the other, forming a doughball.


Wrap the dough ball around the baking paper and leave it to rise for 20 minutes at room temperature, then cut into 1.5cm cubes.


Melt the chocolate in a saucepan and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper.


Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.


Remove the chocolate from the oven and leave to cool.


To make the starbucks drink: Place one of the trays with the chocolate inside into a pan.

Cook for 10 minutes until a chocolate chip begins to soften.


Cut into squares and place into a saucepot with a splash of water.


Pour in the hot water and let simmer for 10 more minutes.


Melt in a microwave for 5 minutes.


Serve warm.

Chocolate chip cookies are made with flour and butter, so make sure to use a flour mixture that’s at least half the weight of the cookie dough.
