Waffle Houses announced Thursday that it’s using the NFL’s playbook on its red robins and plucker’s menus.
Waffle House has a long history of making food and drink at home with its menu options and its menu is the brainchild of its founders, Tim and Michelle Kaur.
They began the idea in 2011 when the Kaur family owned a small business and were looking for something different from the usual chains of fast-food restaurants.
The Kaurs decided to go big.
They opened the first WaffleHouse in 2009, and since then they have expanded into a full-service restaurant chain.
The menu has grown to include everything from sandwiches to salads and hot dogs, including a number of items that are no longer available in the Kachys’ hometown.
The new menu is designed to offer the Kachels and their team members the same menu that’s available at every other restaurant in the city, but at a more affordable price point.
For the most part, the new menu looks like what you would see at any typical fast-casual restaurant, including the popular red-roofed plucker sandwiches.
There are plenty of salads and salads-and-beverages items to choose from, including salads with blue cheese dressing, grilled chicken, and a grilled chicken and broccoli bowl.
The menu is available for $9.95.
A few items that aren’t on the new red robiners menu include the Red Robins, which are the grilled chicken winglets and a salad with chicken, bacon, lettuce, and tomato.
The Red Robin is also available in salads with bacon and romaine, as well as a salad and a sandwich with roasted red peppers, red onions, and red chile flakes.
Also new on the menu are the Red Pluckers, which feature a grilled cheese sandwich, grilled egg, and chicken salad.
The plucker is served with a tomato sauce, lettuce and tomato, and it’s served on a toasted bun.
Other items on the Red robins menu include chicken wings, chicken nuggets, chicken sandwiches, and the classic red-grilled chicken sandwich.
WaffleHouse said it will begin selling the red robings on July 1.
