Golden Chick is the new chicken.
And you can eat it at the Golden Chick, the first location of the new Southwest restaurant chain in Atlanta.
The chain has opened locations in Phoenix, Nashville, San Antonio and Austin.
Golden Chick also opened its first two restaurants in Texas, Dallas and Austin, and is considering more.
The chicken is being served at three locations in Atlanta: one at the old The Lick in downtown Atlanta and another at the Atlanta-based The Biscuit Factory in the historic Old Fourth Ward.
Atlanta is the only major U.S. city without a Golden Chicken, but other markets have opened in recent years.
Golden Chick, which began in Atlanta, plans to open a second Atlanta location.
“We have an exciting opportunity to offer a full range of quality chicken and chicken products at affordable prices,” said Golden Chick founder and CEO Tim O’Donnell in a statement.
O’Donnell said the restaurant will have a large menu that includes fried chicken, salads, tacos and other options.
